|24 Hour HAZWOPER Training
In November 2009, our firm became involved with a project in Paterson, New Jersey, involving site investigation, and conditions assessment of a 19th century manufacturing site located within the Great Falls/Society of Useful Manufacturers National Historic Landmark District in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey. Due to the unstable condition of the site, Samuel Harris and Melanie Kasper were required to complete OSHA's 24 hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) training.
HAZWOPER refers to five types of hazardous waste operations conducted in the United States under OSHA Standard 1910.120 "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response." The standard contains the safety requirements employers must meet in order to conduct these operations. The HAZWOPER standard covers five areas of operations, including:
